Forgot to Hop

Iaccidentaly used a malt w out hops (extract)  been fermenting around a week,,,,,is there anyway to add them now?

thanks,

Idiot(or careless)

Well I thin k it's over rated. No matter how much I jumped up and down hopping didn't affect the taste of my beers at all.lol

Far as I know the only way to affect it is to add hop oil but it is not easily available and you might have to boil it for 60 minutes to get the full affects of it. So if the beer is too sweet you have two options. One is to dump it, the other is to add it to another batch. If it is too sweet then make an IPA and combine the two. BUT, chances are if it is already fermented than pouring or adding it to another beer will most likley oxidate the first beer and could make the combined beer poor in quality.

Good idea. How long did you boil it? Might want to wait for a "2nd" fermentation to eat up the additional sugars. Let us know how it turns out. A lot of us have brews that we wish were hoppier but didn't know what ot di so this could be a very nice find if it turns out ok for you. keep us posted.

Will do......boiled 1 oz pellets 1\2 hour....had the  bitter citrus inthe original boil....i thought the rice might give some additional starch for the sugars.....I will keep you posted.  Is there a need to add yeast?

deafcone.......

Bottled yesterday and tasted some today.  Carbonation is going strong and beer took on the flavor and bitterness of Hops fine.  Beer is already drikable and looking forward to improvement.  i tasted yesterday and the difference is astounding.  The beer is extremely smooth at the latter end of the taste.........finishes wonderful and retains a great head.............thx for help and encouragement.

UPDATE:

Everyone loved this..........people at work..........my Dad who is a complainer.  Compared to Blue Moon by some and Paulaner by my old man!!!!  Pretty different beers.............at least people liked it.  I m happy if it isn't compared to crap LOL
