Good Lord! Am I the only beer loving female here?

This Redneck girl wants to throw her "He** Yeah" in there. Now, I am by all means and sizes a Cabarnet girl. I love my red wine to death. But having wenched many a season at the Renaissance Faire, let me tell you- I know a thing or two about a mighty good ale. I love a good German brew and I've had some delicious home brews.  Typical girl, I love the fruity ales (Sam Adams Cherry Wheat still makes me smile) and I also love a good Cider.  Pear Wyder Cider, anyone??

I do like what seem like more 'girly' drinks sometimes.  Like when I am out dancing a pear cider totally hits the spot.  However when I am in a proper pub I would not be caught ordering and of those sweeter modern products.  Remeber that whole ice lager stuff--did it taste of anything at all?  If I am in a pub having a proper sit down bullshit session I wan't a beer I can almost chew.  Back home that was something like Black Pitch Stout or Emersons Oatmeal.

I do like Guiness but I have a weird superstition and only drink it while in the UK.  I think it's just the good memories attached with it there for me--aklthough they do say it doesn;t travel well.

Woo Hoo I love it! I agree with the beer you can chew. I do love red wine as well as white. I don't really drink much top shelf other than a neat nip of top quality single malt scotch.

I'm so glad the women are here and proudly brewing up a storm, well soon anyway.

Nope none of those modernized, sweety girl drinks for me!

Wendy

Hello again, Wendy!

Yes, I just realised that practically all the names on this particular forum are specifically male names, so now I realise why you made the original post.

Most forums I go on - and it is a fair few - tend to have neutral names, where you can't tell if a person is a woman or a man.

yes so true and that is why I wanted to draw out a few women I could chat to and get tips and info from.

It was meant to be that sort sort of thing not proclaiming taht I was the only one. I always keep my female identity on forums, not sure why.

Wendy

It sounds good now ! Wendy you are not alone here though i am not lady but there are alot !

I myslef love to drink beer, I can't go a day without sipping on at least one. It's a passion for me i guess thats why I do  it. Watch a couple of football games and have a nice chilled glass sitting with nice bubbled beer. Sometimes I think It's better than sex.

i am a lady, i love GOOD beer, especially homebrew, i run my own micro-home-brewery and do all the brewing myself (with occassional help from the fellas who just like to be around a beer-brewing female)!

thanks for starting this post!  so often these forums are dominated by men, or at least, seem like they are, until somebody calls out the ladies.  then, look out!  there they are!

congrats to all the ladies who love beer enough to be here in the first place!  congrats to those that brew beer!  and biggest respect to those ladies who brew beer, not because their man does it, but because THEY love it, and cant live without it!

i raise my stein to the ladies!
