SAW hop blend is 1 part Simcoe, 1 part Warrior and 2 parts Amarillo

That is quite the hop schedule.  Is this a Double IPA?

An Imperial IPA

Still on my list to be brewed.  I am going to have to step up my drinking habits so I can keep up with my brewing needs.  This is the one drawback to kegging:  it is a bit harder to share my brews.

The Simcoe, Warrior, Amarillo blend is awesome, my three favorites.

I've been wanting to brew an IPA, maybe I should just jump in and try this one. big_smile

holy hops!, thats one heck of a list! no walking away from that one.

Blended hops?, is it just a mix of pellets or is each pellet made up of each type?

I just made a IIPA thats a lot like this and it tastes fantastic!  I used my SAC blend - Simcoe, Amarillo, and Centennial pellets.  Just took a 1/3 ounce of each, so that I had an ounce total for each addition.  My hop schedule went like this:

2 oz. Warrior - whole hops - 60 minutes
1 oz. SAC blend - 45 minutes
1 oz. SAC blend - 30 minutes
1 oz. SAC blend - 15 minutes
1 oz. SAC blend - 10 minutes
1 oz. SAC blend - 5 minutes
1 oz. SAC blend - 0 minutes
1 oz. Crystal - whole hops - Dry Hop

I hit about 13% alcohol and 150ish IBUs.  It's still carbing up (trying to naturally carbonate) as I don't have room in the fridge yet to put it on CO2.  It finished at 1.030, so it's a little sweet, but the hops more than balance it out.

You have to blend them yourself.  Easiest is to take the total weight and mix them all together, then pull out the amount you need, especially for the 1/4 oz additions.  I've got my ferementers set at 50F right now otherwise I'd probably take a shot at this one on Friday.
