infection?

I racked into my secondary yesterday and now I have some small white foamy looking stuff at the top of the carboys. they look thicker then just some bubbles and they dont seem to break up do you think it is an infection or a possible start of mold?

How long was it in primary for? Did you have any unsanitary methods?

nothing different then I usually do and it was in primary for 7 days

I think at 7 days you will still get some funky looking stuff. If it dosnt smell sourish you're fine. Ride it out and taste it before bottling/kegging.

It would likely take quite a bit longer for mold or bacterial pellicle to form.  I'm sure you're fine as well.

it could be you racked over a bit of the yeast sediment from the primary, and after the wort was moved, some c02 that was trapped in the wort has risen to the top, and carried some yeast with it.

Sweet! I was expecting the worst but hoping for something not so drastic! with no sour taste I cant wait to taste it
