Introduce Yourself
Hello fellow brewers. I stumbled on this site while searching for some guidance on priming my cider with apple concentrate. The answer was here - so I'm already impressed!
Here's a bit about me...
I live outside Seattle, WA USA
I've been brewing for about 8 years
I do about 80% all grain, and typically keg.
My favorite styles to make are ESB, Irish stout, and Wit, though I make many others.
I've currently got a Amber on tap, a wassail in secondary, and that hard cider I'm going to bottle tomorrow.
Happy brewing!
We live on a 30 acre farm, plus or minus of ild fruit and nut trees. We grow some other stuff but we mostly go for freezing and for juices to turn into fruit ciders.
we have 9 furry babies, and one teenager.
All of us are in school, hubby in SCUBA, and my daughter and I in university working n our BAs
Hailing from socal. I have been brewing for 2 years, graduating to all grain recently. My beer taste travels from english browns to well balanced IPA's to belgium lagers. Just made a Columbus hopped IPA that it some good beer (wont last long in the keg!).
well, i haven't started brewing yet, but it's on the agenda. i'm just trying to find a place i can make a nice mess in. my apartment sucks for projects like this.
favorite beer: the boston brewing company has my whistle. my roommate is from massachusetts and i went from a casual fan of a full flavored lager to a huge fan of anything with a sam adams label. except cherry wheat, not a big fan of the fruity beers.
from central louisiana, live in north louisiana, family ties with winston salem, NC, cincinnatti, OH, and new york city.
Hello everyone, I have not brewed anything yet but would like to, I am a graduate student at University of Tennesse in chemistry and I love beer. NO not getting drunk but just sitting down and enjoying beer. So as I search through this forum I hope to find answers in getting started in home brewing
Ya know, i've never posted on the intro thread about myself so here goes.
My name is Denis, I'm a 35 years old Respiratory Therapist from Webster, NH which is just outside of Concord, NH. I'm married and have two wonderful daughters, ages 7 and 6. I started brewing around 12-13ish years ago, but took at many year break from it, now I'm getting back into it. I've pretty much done Extract brewing with the occasional steeping of grains involved. Interested in doing some all-grain at some point, still trying to get refamilarized with the whole process first then start collecting the equipment involved. so far I've enjoyed being involved with BrewingKB everyone has been very helpful.
Feel free to tell us a little about yourself:
1. How long have you been brewing?
I am just getting started. Trying to learn the process. The Food Network had a show on home brewing that made us say "I have to try that" !! So here we are to learn and make new friends.
2. What is your favorite beer style?
Currently lagers top my list but I am wanting to expand my scope of taste.
3. Where are you from?
The Keystone State:P
I am completly new at all this-------except for the drinking beer part. I am a respiratory therapist in Dallas----saw a previous post that there is another therapist here. I have a degree in chemistry and biology. With that background I am interested in brewing from the beginning. Just browsing thru this forum seems like it would be a good resource.
Welcome Jjtage!!
Hi all
I'm from the Northeast of England and just got back into brewing after many years.
I like a tipple of just about anything, depending on where and when, but if i had to make a choice it would be beers similar to my local Newcastle brown ale
After years of raking up apples and dumping them at the bottom of my garden, I decided to make use of them and have a go at cider.
I built a press and dug out my old heaters, fermenting tubs etc.
When i got the cider bubbling away I got the old bug back and thought I'd carry on with some wines and beer.
regards
Iddy
