just bottled my IPA

You'll know if it's a bad batch when you open them and they are ready.

Expect 2-3 weeks for proper carbonation.

Does this mean if I have a beer that is good after only 1 week in the bottle I have done something wrong?  My wheats are usually pretty good after only a week in the bottle>

thanks

Nope.  I've also had wheats ready in a week.  It depends on the yeast, and fermentation conditions.  Even a few degrees can make the difference.  Some beer take longer naturally.  If you try one of your recently bottled IPAs, and it pops when opened, has good body, appearance, aroma, flavor; and if it's carbed to where you want it then it's done.  You may want to try another from the batch to confirm, before you move them a cooler place or your fridge.

IPA time because i'm saving the other stuff and i'm drunk..................

this stuff has gotten better 10X..........................

thanks.................

the fuel flavor is nill at most.............still bitter but a good bitter!!!!!!!!!!!

Unlike many other beers, Wheats are best consumed when "fresh", IMHO. Most beers will benefit from some degree of aging, but I always found that my wheat ales are good to go after a few weeks and can actually taste worse if they sit around too long!

+1 on drinking wheat beers early.  I usually have a wheat batch brewed, bottled, and drinking within 3-4 weeks unless I'm using a secondary to add something.....
