Look who has a new kegorator---->
I can't keep it a secret any longer I guess, especially now that its full with 6 kegs of beer!

So remember the guy who I found on Craigslist that gave me the wrong phone #; then he wouldn't reply to email. When he did he wasn't free when I was....
Well I finally managed to get in touch with him and I picked up the chest freezer unit about 3 weeks ago.
Cheers to me!
1. I still need to build a collar for the taps.
2. I have four faucets already, I need to order two more for the full 6 kegs.
3. I have 6 beers though already in there: Oatmeal Stout, Oatmeal Stout with Kolsch yeast, BKB Pale, American Wheat, American Wheat with Blueberries, American Wheat with Strawberries.
4. I actually have a 7th keg of beer, an American Brown Ale, but I need another kegorator because I only have capacity for 6 kegs.
5. Rick...How 'bout cha???

You sneaky little cheeky monkey!
Someone's been brewing!
An Oatmeal Stout with Kolsch yeast? Sounds interesting. Have you tried it yet? How is it?
Congrats brewchez. I seem to see enough room in there for at least a couple 3-gallon cornies. Are you sure all that other stuff has to be in there?
Yeah, I've been brewing some. I have to admit I have made it a little easier on myself than what it appears. I have been using the full 15 gallon capacity of my kettle lately. The stouts were done as a 12 gallon boil, then split for the two yeasts. The American Wheats with fruit were all brewed as a 15 gallon dicey boil session. I brewed the wheat beer at a higher gravity than anticipated so that I could transfer 12 gallons into 3 fermentors, then topped them all off with a gallon of water to get the full 5 gallon batch per fermentor.
So I have a good stock of beer, but they brew sessions have been few.
Atcually I brewed the BKB Pale at the same time as the wheats! So a 20 gallon brew day was fairly interesting. It was also the first time I got to play with my prechiller set up.
The Oatmeal stout was brewed with Irish Ale (normally I use English) and Kolsch. The kolsch yeast Definately has an interesting effect on flavor. Do not worry, I am going to bottle up enough of each on so we can do a side by side at an upcoming "MA brew day" (Hopefully at Ricks, or later in the summer I'll host one too). I don't want to reveal too much until I get some other palettes on the beer. All my friends and family jsut say "oh that's good."
The wheats will all get drank this weekend for the 4th O' July. We live near the center of town where there is a large annual parade. So I made a strawberry wheat, straight wheat and blueberry wheat. This is my tribute to the USA: Red, Wheat and Blue. I actually treated the fruit in such a way that I have picked up some red and blue colors in the beers. I'll get a pic up of that once they are carbed and served on Saturday.
There is still room in the freezer. I was actually thinking I may be able to build a collar tall enough to accomodate two more kegs on top of the compressor hump. Right now the CO2 tank is in the freezer, but I'll move it out with a coupling on the collar eventually.
Very nice Brewchez! Looks like everyone in the neighborhood will want you to start hosting all the parties!
DamBrewchez.i've been makin more beer than ever and after vacation I'm runnin out again. THEN I see your chest freezer setup. DANG DANG DANG, I WANT ONE!!!!!
Trouble is, that many taps would last me a lifetime or kill my liver, whichever comes first. My wife is a wine drinker.
Speaking of wine, I just thought of this. Say I was to make a two tap system. One tap with beer, and the other for Wine. I would only need the CO2 for tranfer from keg to tap handle to glass, right? Would the co2 affect the wine over time still in keg or could I purge the wine keg until I need to pour another glass?
Anyone done this?

Cheers mate! You beat me to it...I still have no flowing brew at my house, other than from a bottle to my stomach.. I have the correct bevline on order, it will be here Monday. I don't see why after I run the right line, there will be anything else. The controller is working great, the collar is a clear indicator of my bob villa-less skills, but it works...
So, next week I will have working pics...I technically have all the pics I took while building it, but I've been too lazy to upload them.....
I'll go throw back a beer for your victory......just need to finish off this 5th of Jim Beam first...woooo!!!
