MASSACHUSETTS RESIDENTS?

Actually that sounds better, because i can't think of a brewpup, or a restaurant for that matter that will let people bring their own beers.  So if someone is up for having 15 people over their house for making a batch, and exchanging beers, that sounds great.  I have no AG experience, so seeing one made would be fantastic.  plus I have mad skills at drinking  beer ha ha ha..  Unfortunately, my house is out, because I am moving very shortly.

If a house is what you're looking for and nobody else steps up, I'll offer up my place.

of course I think it would be expected for the people coming to pony up some dough for the almighty hops and malt.  I don't think that's to unreasonable, and the one hosting wouldn't have to pay for the raw materials.  I dont' know when we are doing this, but it's going to be great I think.

Well the idea that I was thinking of wasn't to have everyone pitch in for brewing a batch of beer, but instead to just come over and hang out while someone was brewing their own beer.  Of course, we'd all bring our own homebrew, but I think it gets too complicated when we start talking about splitting a batch one person is ultimately responsible for.  I say we all just drink beer and watch someone else make it.  smile

I agree with this, at least for a first pass get together.  That way you can have one guy brewing and 5 guys saying he's doing it wrong.

Well, I think we certainly have enough interest.  Once the weather warms up a bit, I could do some yard cleaning and have it at my place if needed.  I just don't technically live there yet.  I should be moved in within a week or two.  I have to wait for Keyspan to fix the gas and hook up my dryer, have to wait for B&P to get my damn furniture in stock, have to wait for a plumber to inspect something, may have a leaky pipe inside a plaster wall, which is always refreshing to hear....the yard though is fairly big, plenty of room to have a some people and some equipment.  Of course, I usually brew at my friends house, but whatever.  I know he wants to brew there, o we can cool the wort faster.  It usually takes a while for us to get to pitching temp, but he thought we could stick the cook pot on the steps in his pool, and that should work much faster.....at least that's the idea.....

Yea, sounds great to me, I just didn't want to person hosting to think he was getting stuck with to many people over his house, and nothing to show for it, I forgot we'd be bringing our own beer.  Whatever we decide, i'm free anytime after 6 really except for mondays and wednesday.

Hello,

I found this forum this morning and I'd be in as well. I'm a newbie home brewer and live in Dedham, Mass.

Welcome couplebeers!  I got to say though....no beers, chili?!  just a thought....

Anyway, yeah sure you're welcome to join in for a local gathering of BKBers.....what have you brewed so far?

Hello,

So far I have brewed a Hefenweizen, an amber ale, a stout (fermenting at the moment), and a blueberry wheat. They all came out quite good, but the blueberry wheat was my first own concoction and it is great. I'm enjoying the whole process and learning a little more every time. Thanks for the welcome.
