MASSACHUSETTS RESIDENTS?

By the way, I just thought of something, is this rain or shine, or just shine?

We brew rain or shine, although if rain then we'll all be hanging out in the garage instead of spreading out on the driveway and back deck...  Either way there'll be plenty of room.

Cool, I'll bring the fireworks then.

HA!  not that much room...  Oh I forgot to mention, no terrorizing my dogs.  smile

Kickass!  That's all I can say right now about our local meet and swap at 1n1m3g's place today.  Great setup, great people, and great beers from all.  Well, back on the road for me now...

Muchas Gracias to 1n1m3g for the hospitality and tips picked up today!

prost!

Awesome time! Great to meet everyone, I was very impressed with the quality of beers sampled...we'll have to do it again. Thanks again 1n1m3g!

Great time, turned out to be a fantastic day weather wise too.  Learned alot about all grain brewing, and about all the different types of beers everyone had brewed.  Thanks very much 1n1m3g, and thank your gracious wife for putting up with us all day.

All I have to say is MA brewers are f-ing awesome!  We had a great time brewing a Saison (I'll post the recipe in the recipes forum).  All who came out brought some really good homebrews and great food to grill out.  Thanks to everyone who came for being so generous with food and beer!  We will definitely have to repeat this event soon.  Here are a few pictures of the MA brew day.

Here's a couple pictures of the brew stand and the 15 gal keg setup we brew with:

We had a good rolling boil going for 90 min:

Much food and beer was consumed and good times were had by all including my newly elected brew mascot:

We chilled the wort down to 65F then whirlpooled and let it settle for about 25 min:

Keg fermenter was placed in the fridge fermenting chamber and a heating pad was applied to bring the temp slowly up to 68F.  Since this is a Saison using WLP565 yeast, I will let this ferment hot, eventually bringing the temp up to 80F:

A mighty big thanks to 1n1m3g (and his wife) for hosting the site and letting us see the Saison in process.
It should also be pointed out that we were all able to sample some of the very saison being brewed from a previous batch.
Nothing better than drinking some of the very same beer or beer style you are brewing as you go.

Anyhow, we had a great day.  The weather held up nicely for us.  Everybody had some great beers and we even sampled some beers with "off" flavors to help trouble shoot a bit.

Hope to see everyone again at another great session soon.

Great people, great beer, great times. Glad to have met everyone and make new friends. Thanks to 1n1m3g for hosting and everyone else for their flavorful contributions. KA time and a definate event to repeat., although it would be hard to imagine another perfect day.
