Need help with a 'Memorial' brew

Brewing colleagues,
Seattle was struck with tragedy late last month when 5 teenagers beat a Seattle icon to death over a few lousy bucks.  http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/jamieson/ … ource=mypi

I've organized a bunch of musicians to play a memorial service for him at McCaw Hall, but I want to do more.  Granted this is really only going to benefit me and a few close friends, but I want to brew a beer in honor of this amazing person.

Ed 'Tuba Man' McMichael played his tuba out front of every sports arena for every home game for every team in Seattle.  He also played out front of every opera performance.  Rain or shine (plenty of rain) he was there, so much so that he became part of the experience of going to a game.  I came to know him through his music but I never actually met the man. This senseless violence is beyond awful to the point of sheer lunacy.

Anyways, I was hoping that you folks could help with come up with a style to brew for him.

I'm thinking a session beer would be most appropriate although I'm open to anything really.  If any Seattlites knew Ed and know his beverage preference, please enlighten me.
Much thanks,
Ian

That's horrible.  I hope all those kids get caught and get what they deserve.  While its not a session beer, the first thing I thought of was a doppelbock and name it Tubanator.

firepit- thanks for the response.  I also had thought bock originally, but had not thought of a name.  I'm curious what made you think of the doppelbock?

My other thought was to brew a recipe clone from the Höfbrauhaus (Tuba = Polka = Höfbrauhaus).

I actually thought of the name first.  I  thought it had a nice ring to it.  Since it ended in -ator I figured why not a doppelbock?

Why don't you brew it with some Cyanide and then give it to those little punks.  Then you can call it "Instant Justice Brew".

While cyanide would certainly do the trick, and quickly.....I think there's more justice in locking them up, and feeding them arsenic for a nice slow internally rotting death.......eye for an eye, pain for pain, death for death....

Never heard of the guy, but may he RIP....

Wow...I agree that justice should be swift and heavy handed, but poison?  Yowza.   I've heard from numerous friends who all suggested Doppelbock.  I got one tip that Tchaikovsky was his favorite composer, so Russian Imperial Stout.

Thanks to everyone for the help.  I'll let you know how it turns out (whatever it may be).
