quick german style wheat beer
The wife is letting me do a little brewing tomorrow.....any ideas of a wheat beer that I can make quickly. Prob have to do an extract brew. Need to keep it at under 3 hours for the day. I also like beers that are ready to drink quickly LOL only have 56 bottles left 10 from one batch rest from last batch. I also need to but a grain miller.........what do you guys like?
Thanks,
Jreind

3 hours makes it tight. Might wantto consider a can of prehopped wheat beer at local homebrew supply. prehopped can be boiled for just 15 minutes. Never done it that way myslef but it would be quick.
another idea is to buy some wheat DME about 6 pounds and use some german hops like halletuer for 60 min boil. you can google wheat beer recipes and find some recipes that way. might have to get up earlier and start sooner to expand your brewing time.

How does this look?.......30 minute steep, 60 minute boil. That leaves 90 minutes to setup, clean up, and chill the wort. If you top off with cold enough water post boil, chilling shouldn't take long at all......Make the most of your time, be prepared. 10-12 days primary(orn sooner based on gravity readings), then bottle. Wheat beers don't really need a secondary..this could be ready in 4-5 weeks, maybe sooner....

went with it.........had to substitute hops..........did
1oz spalt select hops 60 mins

Should be fine. See my comments in the other post about bitterness.
Its probably too late to comment, but if you can get set up the night before, then you can maximize your three hour window.
Brewchez...........I appreciate all help.............i'm sure this will be the situation for a while.
