Quick question for the experts...
Will I have any ill effects from combining 2# amber DME with 4# wheat DME attempting my own recipe at an American Pale?
I plan on 1oz Fuggles(60) & 1oz Williamette(10) with Wyeast 1056.
ANY input will be helpful.
Thanks & Cheers!

Sounds like a good start to me.
Looks like an estimate OG of 1.050-1.054.

Let us know how it turns out.

If you want to make it more american however, maybe some American hops.
Fuggles is more of an English variety.

But the hops you have listed will be a perfectly fine Pale Ale.

Thanks Mike...
I'll look at changing the Fuggles. Maybe .5oz Northern Brewer (60) instead ??
The OG I calculated is 1.059 with Fuggles
Ahhhh ! I may "monkey" with the malts as well...
Thanks for you input,
Chip

I vote for the Northern Brewers & the malts will give you a nice rich Weizen.
Do you have any Weizen yeast.  Might try the new (I think) Danstar Munich.  Dry yeast, gets going pretty fast.
