Stock Ingredients
Just thinking about stocking up on some stuff. what kind of ingredients do you always have on hand?
For the most part, the only ingredients I keep in stock are a few various grains, mainly because they are so much cheaper in bulk than by the pound. I do keep some DME on hand, just in case I need to adjust gravity or for making starters and priming.
I keep about 50 lbs each of Maris Otter and German lager malt, and my hops for the year are bought in the fall so I use as I go. I try to keep 5lbs of the common specialty malts on hand, right now I have Munich, CaraFoam, 15 & 60 L Crystals, and Vienna.
