What are Your Very Favorite Beers

okay, 3 categories :

1.  Favorite Homebrew - this could be a fave recipe or a favorite homebrewer who always puts out the best brews.

2.  Favorite Microbrew - who makes the best small run brew in your area?

3.  Favorite Commercial/Large Scale Brewery - what do you like to drink that is available nationwide?


Mine :

1.  Port of Oakland Chocolate Porter - thick and rich like a chocolate milkshake.  you just don't want to stop drinking it!

2. Bison Brewery in Berkeley - they often use organic ingredients, their beer is vegan (no fish gut finings), and they make a gingerbread beer that is soooo yummy.  their chocolate stout is also fabulous.
  Unless I can get my hands on anything from anchorage, ak or surrounding areas.  Moose's Tooth Brewery is the finest microbrewery and pizzeria anywhere, Midnight Sun is excellent, and Borealis Brewery is my all time favorite brewery anywhere, anytime.

3.  Alaskan Winter Ale when i can get it, or Young's Double Chocolate Porter, or Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout.


Can't wait to see what you like!  Hopefully I will find some new favorites!
