Have I spoilt my mead??

I racked my 6 gallons of mead into a 6-gallon carboy for secondary fermentation. I'm not sure about the size on the latter, but I'm guessing I lost some volume in the fermentation process because there was a LOT of headspace (it was 3/4 full), so I added enough water to fill it. Of course, once I did it, I discovered that I probably didn't have to worry about it-- it was still fermenting, so the CO2 would have protected the mead from spoiling. So now I may very well have 10 gallons of watered down mead. Did I totally mess this up? Is there any way to fix it?
Thanks
Cesar
