Have you made Mead recently?
Hey All,
1)Who has bottled/recently sampled their experimental meads from the January Mead meeting? I plan on bottling mine this week.
2)Has anyone made any mead lately? Summer is the best time for mead-making, since mead yeast not only tolerates but thrives in the warmer temperatures.

I currently have:
1G Maple Honey Mead (Mead Meeting, Just about ready to bottle now)
3G Vanilla Honey Mead (Clarifying now - shoul dbe able to bottle in a month or two)
3G Cinnimon, Nutmeg, Vanilla Honey Mead (Had a while to go, still very cloudy)
I need to get more going but I don’t have much room left
I did when I transferred a few months back - it was still very "hot" and needed to mellow. It was at this time I added the vanilla. I need to bottle it soon to be honest. I used 1 bean in a gallon, is that the same as you?

Unfortunately, I haven't tried making mead. But my mom is expert in making it! She has lot of mead recipes. One of these days, I'll ask my mom to teach me how to make it. I guess it's a nice idea to learn from the experts.
