thinking about doing a mead
thanks for the input, i havent given up yet, would like to find some dry versions before tackling it first
keep looking brewluva, you will find something. or maybe try some one gallon batches, so you do not have to commit all the money for all that honey.
i get in the mood for mead when it is cooler out and the maurading of the fall harvest would begin, and i feel the tug of my ancestors to celebrate a successful pillaging.
If you can find the White Winter brand of commercial mead in your area, try the Black Mead variety. It is totally my favorite commercial mead!
thanks, i will look for it
Look into a melomel. Or even a braggot. Gotmead.com has tons of free recipes.
I, for one, am a huge fan of dry spiced meads. Love lots of cinnamon, cloves and a hint of nutmeg. Ginger is an excellent spice to spruce up mead as well. Don't give up. There is a mead out there for everybody.
theres a liquor store here and they have a tasting room (no beers) just liquor ,wine, cordials
