Water & Honey separation?
First mead, 2 weeks primary, it’s been 2-3 months in secondary...
It is clearing up and how! There is a ton of sluff on the bottom, and it looks nearly translucent up top...
My question is, could "honey solids" drop out of mead? I have some funny conditions (we keep the house on the cold side-55-60 deg but this is near a vent so it heats up/cools down) and I know I've seen honey that "crystallizes" but returns to liquid after a warm bath, which makes me wonder if honey dissolved in water could do the same (and then drop out), or even if what might crystallize in honey would have been eaten by the yeasties by now...
So yeah, has the honey dropped out of my mead, and if so, can I get it back in there?
