Mass. Best Brew

I will be visiting some family in N Attleboro over the holiday and wonder what the best of the best is for Mass beer. I would love to pick up a real winner while there.

Berkshire Brewing Co makes some great stuff. I have a keg of their cabin fever tappped now, their Drayman's porter and Shabadoo are pretty solid too. Depending on where you are traveling from you could stop by Tater & Lipps brewery, and I could pour you a pint of Hopscotch Imperial IPA from my kegerator. (TLB is a small garage brewery that produces about 12 barrels a year)

I would go with Berkshire.  It's good, available, and most people haven't heard of it, so they should be pleasently surprised to hear it's local.....and yummy!  I like the Traditional Berkshire Ale, but for the season you could go with either Cabin Fever, or Holidale......Persoanlly, I think the Hefe is one of the best out there, just not for this time of year.......

I unfortunately wasn't able to view your replies before I left on Wednesday so I kinda winged it when I got down there. I ended up picking up Wachusett IPA. What are others thoughts on this beer? I actually thought it was quite thin but that might just be my preference to more mouthfeel in pales. But I did also find the hops a little lacking. Bitterness was ok but felt the flavor was a little under my expectation. Maybe that's because the last one I had was Clipper City's Heavy Seas Hop Cubed Loose Cannon and it kinda spoiled me. If anyone gets a chance check this one out.
