Your name on brewingkb
Simple answer:
It is a play on the phrase "you & I"
Long answer:
Poetically speaking, the phrase "you and I" conjures up images of 2 lovers madly, passionately in love. Think of Antony and Cleopatra, Romeo and Julliet, Brad Pitt and Jenifer Aniston...oops, scratch that last one. Well, you get the picture...
My love is beer (aka "brew"). So a simple change from the word "you" to "brew" and suddenly I have a name that matches my passion for beer.
It was actually my second choice because "cubx" was already taken. lol
Boss Hogg well some might say Its from the Dukes of hazzard but I got it when I was a A-10 mechanic the motto we had was a hog holding a gattling gun with the caption "patients my #$@ I want to kill something" and because I have the lack of patients brewing will keep me honest. It will also be on my label.
When I first moved to California, I got a small British convertible for a hobby car. I new nothing about LBC's (Little British Cars) so I was a newb, and I live in Northern California. This was the alias I used for the LBC forums I frequented and I just kept it for everything else.
I wanted to come up with one that took into account my two big hobbies. Home brewing and high end sound systems. Nothing beats sittin around with the lights off at night drinking a few home brews and listening to some jazz off a super clean album (yep vinyl records). Thus the name 33&1/3brewing. BTW Alex931 my speakers were built in your home town Lawrence.
I live in Indianapolis and spend many of my weekends at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, also known as "The Brickyard".
It's my first name backwards.
I have huge feet and am from Oklahoma....
Root was a nickname I got in highschool, 64 is my birth year. I use as my ID on everything that requires a log in.
My other hobby is flying RC model airplanes. Unfortunately, what goes up, must come down, sometimes in an unplanned fashion (otherwise known as a crash).
Takeoffs are optional, landings are mandatory!
My last name is Pellissier. To help people remember how to spell it, I would say it is like Mississippi. Then people started calling me "Pellissippi."
Which in turn got shortened to "Sippi"
