Your name on brewingkb

I got my name in college when I was the sousaphone section leader (leader=Captain, sousaphone=Sousie) for the Western Thunder Marching Band at the University of Wyoming.  Sort of geeky really.

Sou

i was browsing the internet looking for adivce on some yeast issues i had been encountering when i came across brewingkb. i chose this forum over the others for the feel and nature of it.

at the time my fiance was in the other room with the offending batch of beer and she yelled to me "it's krausenating!" as i had been telling her the day before what we would be expecting after 2 to 3 days of fermentation and that it is called "high krausen", and then the foaming protein mass falls back down.

her "krausenating" made me chuckle, and so i just used it when i registered.

that's my story and i'm sticking to it.

Hey all, pretty cool bit of banter here..... So here goes.......
     zimnypiwo is actually 2 words.  It's Polish    zimny   ( pronounced ..  zshimnah )  means cold...
    and piwo ( pronounced...  peehvoh )   means beer !!!
So,  zimnypiwo.....or........ szhimnah peehvoh .......  means ....our combined favorite!!!!!!!!!   smile     COLD   BEER!!!!!!!!!!          In primary...  plain ole'  american pilsner
                               don't use a seconadary....straight to bottle priming.
                               DRINKING....   Maple brown sugar lager
                                                          India pale ale
                                                          Honey wheat beer
  Sto-Lat !!   Thats Polish for 100 years!!   It's a toast/ well wish  !!!!    smile

I'm a gamer, to you guys I'd prolly be considered a hardcore gamer, but to the true hard core gamers I an old man, that doesn't play all that much.  big_smile  I'm also a DeadHead.  Again to the average person, I'm a huge Deadhead but to the Deadhead crowd, my library of shows (27) is pitifully small, but man do they rock.

I was playing a game a few years back called Earth and Beyond, and I needed a character name, I picked Capppy which is short for Catain Trips a nickname that Jerry Garcia had in the mid sixties.  I took that name with me from game to game, and though my real nickname is Oak, everyone that games with me calls me Cappy no matter if it's my charecters name or not.

I have a pilots license, and when you are flying, everything is in vivid 3D. Thus, I fly low to see 3 D........

Mine is partially obviously....my name is Rick.  Ricka is just a nickname this one guy always called me, and just stuck.  The 182 is from one of my favorite movies, Turk182!......

stubbs was a nickname given to me years ago, why I stil dont know. I was on a trip with friends we were all drinking on of my friends called me stubbs and it has stuck with me.

my user name comes from my Uncle from YEARS ago. I played bass guitar in his band and he began calling me Chuck (my name is Charlie) Stardust. regretfully, it kinda stuck.....Now all my family calls me that, but outside of them, it is a well guarded secret....until now!

Later,
chuckstardust

The Brown Bomber is name we gave to the first non-kit beer we ever brewed.

Brewski = beer
newb = newbe
the last ski = it made sense

Brewski+newb+ski = spossed to mean I am new to all this brewing stuff.  But when  I make my millions off of my revolutionary beef jerky beer I'll have to change my name to brewskijerkski.  But then I may run into issues with people mistakingly thinking I am a hoser jerkwad.
