Howdy all.  I'd love to get in on this action.  I'd love to do a Light Honey Ale that I saw mentioned at the top, but seeing as it's not on the list, I'll vote Kolsch.  I'd love for it to be a custom recipe that we come up with together, although I'm a nebwie brewer, so not sure I should take part in the actual recipe making process.

Anyhow, updated the list below with my vote.  Perhaps I can get my roommate to take part as well, along with the exchange program, so we could have a few different ones to try out.  Added my name to that list as well.

Good to see Kolsch taking the lead and running.....only because I have was going to brew one anyway.  I have a great recipe as well.  Okay, so I can't call it great yet, as I just made it up myself.  I don't even think it's proper Kolsch recipe either to be honest....I'll brew whatever we come up with here, and my recipe, so I can see how different they are together......

Unless, we get more votes for other styles, I say we close voting by the end of the week.  That will give us a few days to a week for recipe formulation.  I will start looking for a good(and real) Kolsch recipe later today, just in case it does wind up winning.....also, I noticed more than one person has mentioned honey ale.  We can, if by demand make this a Honey Kolsch.  I think we just add honey and voila, unless there's some uber technique for honey brews I am unaware of......

The wife has been after me to make a kolsch style for a while now so I'm down with that.  Also, I'd be interested in exchanging.

Well looks like i'll be researching the kolsh style for us.

Can we call the election for KOLSH? No one here is from Florida or Ohio are they?

Well, it does look like Kolsch is going to take it.  We'll wait through tonight too see if there's a miraculous comeback for MaiBock or Hefe.........

KyNGmedic > Go ahead and start the research.  I'll also look around; I've found a couple that look good, one regular Kolsch, and one Honey Kolsch.  I'll go over them and post them later tonight......we can also put up multiple recipes, and mash*  them together to create a unique BKB Kolsch to brew....

*no pun intended.....

I was debating on including myself since I am getting ready to brew a Maibock. But it makes no difference. If it ends up Kolsch, I will check out the recipe and brew it another time. I have everything for two partial mash recipes right now and I am switching to all grain after I brew those two.

well not that it appears my vote matters, but i'll throw in another vote for kolsch.  shoud be fun and something my friends might actually like, as they aren't as diverse in their taste when it comes to beer as i am.  anything not super blonde they just assume is gonna be thick and something they won't like.  And to answer your question KyNGmedic, I'm from ohio, NW ohio to be percise.
