4th of July beers

What's everyone bringing, making, taking, to their 4th of July celebrations.  Just curious,  as i'm bringing a brown ale.

Here is my 4th of July series.

American Beer Series

We're going down to English Landing Park in Parkville, MO on the Missouri River.  They have a great fireworks display and a traveling carnival.  No food or drink booths, so you have to bring your own, damn.
Honey Stout, Apricot Weizen, a couple Spruce Brews, and Hard Lemon/Limeade.  Cold fried chicken.

big_smile Yummmmm

If things go well, I'll have 3 or 4 beers ready for consumption by the 4th...

Hopefully, the cooler will be full of :

Pale Ale-ish with fruit
Wheat with fruit
Honey Porter
Grecian Honey Ale

Every so often all my friends get together at my house and we have a Burgers and Brews night.  We grill up as many burgers as we can and drink lots of home brew.  Often times we all throw our names in hat and the winner gets to pick the next style of beer to be made for the next Burgers and Brews night.  Then he/she can help design, brew and of course drink the beer.  When its done we fill the keg and its time for the next party.  Looks like my buddy Dave's Pale Ale will be ready just in time for the 4th.

Jesus H Brewchez you have a whole series?  I'll have the brown, and a case of the pilsner you tried on the brewday.  I gave the remaining case of the one you tried with the rasberry tea to my sister and her friends, and believe it or not, they love it.
On a lighter note, your nom de plume should be  JESUS H BREWCHEZ.  I was just looking at it, and it's kinda catchy.

I'll probably have a load of Hefeweisenheimer and English Mild ready to drink by the 4th.

Just to brag, my 14 year old daughter's been playing violin since she was 6. Every year around Independence Day the Portland Symphony Orchestra does Independence Pops in Ft. Wiliams (home of Portland Head Light - you'd recognise it if you saw it). This year they've asked the local Suzuki Association to open for the PSO, and my daughter'll be up there on stage playing. Not only is it a button-busting affair, but I'll get cheap tickets. I think it's on the 3rd this year.

The event usually ends with the 1812 Overture and fireworks.

Can't take any beer in, but we'll be sampling at home on the 4th.

Belgian Wit and Kolsch for me.

It's kinda hard to remember that when you take your beer to a group of people almost none of them have had a home brew.  I brought a brown ale, some Pilsner, and pale ale to a Cook out last night, I thought it was ok, you know nothing special.  They loved it went crazy for it kept asking me how I made it how much was it to start to brew, I brought 27 beers, and they drank them all.  So remember just because you think one if your beers is just so so, doesn't mean people aren't going to think it's fantastic.

I agree.... I took some of the 2008 BKB Spring Kolsch to the beach last week and now have two people inquiring as to how to start brewing themselves.
