This looks great.  I have been wanting to try Amarillo hops for a while (I haven't yet), this may be the one I do.

 

What are some of the characteristics of the Amarillo Hops?

 

In this brew they develop a peach character after aging about 30 days.  Almost tastes like fruit was put in.  Amarillo's are like Cascades on steroids, higher alpha's more pungent citrus and peach notes.



 

Nice, after learning more and more about different styles of hops I really want to brew a big IPA.  That would put it about 5 on the list of "to be" brews.

 

This recipe is why I buy 3 lbs of Amarillo's every fall.
