I'd probably just go off my property & look for more. They are everywhere around here.
But they are only ripening on the bush for about 3 weeks, so a short window.
I also think that putting the berries in the primary after 7 days was very good, and that putting them in the secondary would be fine also. I just don't use a secondary very much.
Next year I may try to make 2-5gal batches, it seems to go away pretty quickly.

While it was still moonlight, I heard a heavy scratching all around my tree, couldn't figure out where or what it was. Kept getting louder, then a possum popped it's head up to join me in my stand.
We didn't agree about that.
