DFH Indian Brown Ale
Brewed this last tuesday, is quickly becoming my favorite beer. I had to include a pic of the starter I have going for tomorrows Imperial IPA, it is a 2 liter starter of second generation edinburgh ale, once I saw the vortex I said it looks to sexy not to post.
Sorry this is not in a beer tool or promash format, not too sure how to copy and post that! This is scaled to runoff 7.5 gallons and boil down to 6.
Dogfish Head Indian Brown Ale
13# Pilsner malt
1.25# Flaked maize
.8# Amber malt
.8# Crystal 60
.5# Coffee malt
.25# roasted barley
.25# Carapils ( I always add some to every recipe to ensure head ret )
7oz brown sugar
.83oz Warrior @ 60
1.3oz Goldings @ 10
1.53oz Liberty @ 0
.3oz Goldings dryhopped
.3oz Liberty dryhopped
WLP005 British Ale yeast
Single infusion mash @ 152
Carmelize brown sugar in kettle before runoff ( I carmelized on the stove and added during runoff )
