Extract Recipe for the Wife
I feel your pain my wife is the same, she love mich lite to me thats nasty. But on a good note she loves my cherry wheat just made a double batch for her so that will keep her happy for quite a while she is not that big of a drinker. thats okay that just means more things for me to brew!!
I am in the opposite camp. My wife is a hophead, and I am not. I prefer malty balanced beers. She likes IPAs and DIPAs. So I toss one of those in the mix every once and a while.

Chicks dig the fruity beers. 
My woman is not a fan of the "chunky style" beers you (and I) seem to like, either, but when I brewed an apricot ale kit two summers ago, she loved it. Actually, it was a big hit with everyone who tried it.
You might want to brew one of those up for your wife. They're light and quaffable.
