Hangover Remedies
believe it or not, but the sediment in the bottom of your beer bottles are quite high in vitamin b complex. and a little can help ease the morning after. However, the very best cure and it works every time, drink in moderation.
im4fishnak nailed it. hangovers are due to dehydration and vitamin B defficiencies, mainly B12. yeast is very high in B12. swill the sediment in your last hombrew or two and drink it down, chase it with at least a pint of water before bed and you will be golden.
now, dont go suspending your yeast in your beer and drink it that way, you will get some really yeasty homebrew. and why ruin the beer you have waited so patiently to clear? once your done for the night, drink the dregs and that yeast sediment and you will suffer no longer.
i stand by im4fishnak's statement
just dont do what my mate did, by eating foods with high amounts of sugars and then ravage my cellar and drink a bottle of freshly bottled beer that has live yeast in it.... which resulted in him becoming a walking fermenter for the next 3 days....not pleasant....... served him right
now that's some funny shit. i can just imagine the state of his burbble-guts...
Regardless of all the remedies you could find, can anyone honestly say they gotten absolutely smashed, and before passing out, looked for a vitamin and glass of water?? Probably not. If you know you're going to be hammered, take a couple of vitamins before you start drinking, and let the alcohol play with the new stuff, rather than the nutrients your body is using. Water is key as well...if you drink enough water, you'll be properly hydrated at all times, including when you get drunk. Drink, drink, and drink some more, get drunk, and stay in bed the next morning...works for me....
