Hop's Spiced Ale

Hi Everybody,

What is the balance of the spice flavors like? Is it a good mix, or are some louder than others? Also, how does that work within the beer as a whole? I ask this last question because most of the spiced beers, especially beers for Christmastime, seem to have a substantially higher original gravity than this, and as a result, the spice flavors sort of house themselves in the more alcoholic taste. I've never used spices in beer outside of the Wit I did, so I wonder what your results are like.

As a whole, I can't really say any of the spices stood out or above any of the other. They melded together very nicely to form a single flavor.
It is not an overly alcoholic beer, you're right. The initial taste is the tingling of the spices, but as that taste comes down, it is followed by a sweetness, and a subtle hops bitterness. It really did come out well, and I plan to make this one again. I was extraordinarily pleased with this one, and has gotten he most favorable reactions out of friends and family.

Thank You

I was not in the favour of spices befor but after your experiance it urges me to add this batch to feel the experiance ,you have .
