Leinenkugel's Sunset Wheat
hi all . Well I racked this into the secondary last night. I ws wondering about the blueberry extract. What type of extract is this? The store has cans of oregon blueberry puree would this work? IS the extract like the extract you use to make candy? I wanted to add it. I tasted some last night when i checked the gravity. So far so good. I dont know if its exactly sunset weat yet it is a good weat beer. My gravity was at 1010 last night. How long would you let it set in secondary. i was thinking about 20 days or so .
I used extract you get from your home brewery store, usually comes in a 1-2 oz bottle
ok i have my bluberry extract. I have been rather lazy the last couple of weekends and my leinies clone is sitting in the secondary for about 3 weeks maybe four this isnt huring anyting correct. im gonna bottle this weekend or maybe next lol. Weve had company in from germany since thanksgiving and its beem busy around here. Noone has any Blue moon clones out there do they . Id like to try that. Blue moon is one of my favorites.

If you go to Yahoo, and search for "blue moon clone recipe", you'll get all you're looking for. I don't know if any are better than the rest, but they all make a similar brew....some are recipe kits available from places like Norther Brewer, some are just the recipe itself....you could also check the Cats Meow3 for a good list of recipes.....
Has anyone tried to make this using cardamon? when i smell the beer, this is the smell i get from it, as well as the blueberry.
