Looking for Imperial Stout (or any beer) with strong chocolate taste

I must say i think i discovered my favorite beer so far:  Weyebacher Raspberry Imperial Stout

http://www.weyerbacher.com/cwo.php?id=7&page_id=20  Boy, is it tastey!

So i'm looking to make a beer similar to if possible.  Oh heck i'd be really happy w/ a really chocolaty beer.  I just REALLY like this one

Now I'm a newb and I am still learning, but would anyone point me into the direction of maybe a basic recipe and then a more advance recipe?  How chocolaty?  Lets just say Young's Double chocolate stout doesn't come close to Weyerbacher!

I am planning to buy some chocolate nibs via mail order.  So i'll have that available.

Anyways throw me your success stories wink

Thanks!!!!!

I make a chocolate porter.
I get plenty of chocolate flavor from one 10oz can of herseys coco powder.  I add it with 10 minutes left in the boil and stir fairly well.
I have found and read that this gives the easiest most consistent chocolate flavor than using bakers chocolate, nibs or extracts.

I am working on perfecting a chocolate cream stout.

a cup of lactose in the boil for a creamy barely there sweetness and for the chocolate, I've been using Droste chocolate and madagascarian vanilla bean paste... I boil them together in about a 2 cups of water and add them to the secondary before I rack over.  I've been getting real good results with this procedure.  I tried adding the chocolate to the boil but I notice a harshness I am trying to avoid with it.    I promised deafcone my recipe once I get it all sorted out.... but so far, all my guinea pigs... I mean, taste testers say that the chocolate cream stout is the best beer I brew

Brewchez - I think I might try your chocolate porter idea... I think the extra oomph from boiling the chocolate would go well in that style.....

Jen:
Interesting you mention your chocolate cream stout idea.  I have been working on a boosted up a sweet stout recipe to a gravity of 1.075-1.085 and an added  5-8oz of chocolate powder.
Sort of an imperial sweet stout that I could age for several years.

I guess great minds think alike.

I'll keep you posted.  Do I need to give deafcone a sample too?

have a nice summer special..."ale"  Mild maltiness, with a nice chocolate bite...

anyone willing to post their recipes or recipes you tried with success?
