Magnum and Chinook ?
I have used these hops the last 2 batches along with Centennial. My? Is, Magnum and Chinook are both considered bittering hops right? I have used the Magnum as bittering on 1 batch and the Chinook as bittering on another also have used these as flavor hops, what makes these better for bittering and not more of a flavor hop? Anyone used these before for both? How did the beer taste?
Thanks
Zackery
I've used Chinook for flavoring in 3CPA: Columbus, Chinook, and cascades. It is a very heavy spicy hop & gets rough when you use too much. 1 oz. @ 15 minutes worked well.
Thanks

Come to think of it, I've also heard of all-challenger, target, fuggle and EKGolding brews (I mean all the hops for a batch were of one type). I guess it's more common in the UK.
Thanks
