need a recipe for a good beer
I have done all grain beers but will use extract for control purposes as I am going to use homegrown hops.
I have a lot of cascade, some centenial, some willimete, tettnager, and a little glacier.
I would like to brew a smooth 5 gallon batch of a lighter ale or a lager.
Ps I lager in glass carboy inside an insulated garbage can filled with water and add ice twice daily. The temp stays within 5 degrees of 55f ......I get free ice from a drinking (athletic)club I am a member of...........never thought id use that privilage.....actually laughed when the noted that as a privilage-not the best method but its cheap.
I will have a lot of cascade. prob 300 large cones......should harvest this week.
Any suggestions.
PS if anyone knows how to load a pic I would love to show off my hops etc.
