Recipe for American IPA showcasing Chinook as a flavor hop
So I did 3 weeks in the primary, and then put it in the fridge for 12 hrs overnight before bottling. I have been having trouble getting my beers to carbonate to the level I want so I primed with 3/4 cup of turbinado sugar. I am letting them carb in the basement which is kinda cool (55-60 deg) so it is a bit slow. I tried one last night, after being in the bottle for a week, and it is AWESOME! The carbonation level is a bit low, but it will catch up soon enough. The hop aroma and flavor is perfect. SG worked out exactly like I calculated to make it 6.7% ABV which is perfect. Thanks for the tips on the dyhop and the 3 week primary. I believe I may start doing 3 weeks primary on all my beers from now on. Prost!
