Hey, was that oatmeal stout recipe from an issue of Zymurgy? I swear Ive seen it somewhere.
No, my brew buddy and I created it. It seems like all of our recipes are works in progress. Next time we brew the stout we're probably going to toast the oats to try and get a little more "oatmeal" character out of it. It's pretty good how it is though. Nice velvety, smooth texture. The last issue does have a recipe for a Dusseldorf Altbier by Chris Smith that I'm going to brew soon and I've got Charlie Papazian's Bonga Toggles Barley Wine in the primary right now.
