Sam Adams Long Shot

I just dropped off my 2 entries, the  E.S.B. extra special brewchez, and a grand cru.  They both came out great, but i'm sure not great enought to compete with the whole country.  I took the tour again today, and they had a Triple Double Bock on tap, they don't sell it, just something the brewers made, and kept it on tap,  It tasted very similar to your hopscotch double IPA Thirsty, even though this one is a Lager I'd sue.
     Anyone else entering this one?

I'll have to check out the info on it...I'm finally damn brewing on Sunday!  If that's ready in time, I'll drop it off.  Not sure if they're sick of IPAs though...The DIPA winner from a few years ago, who had his brew made this year makes a good beer.  That stuff is pretty tasty....

I shipped my sweet stout friday. Deadline is may 1st for recieving entries. It's only been bottled a week but should be ok by judging time.

I guess I'm out this year...I don't think the IPA being brewed tomorrow will be ready in a week....oh well.  Good luck to you guys...

ya im out this year too, just not brewing much lately

I don't think they actually judge the beers till mid or end of may at the longshot.

actually here is the judging rules. It might depend on which region you enter. check the region judging dates.

"First round judging of the entries will be done at the first round sites between May 2, 2009 and June 6, 2009.  The judges will include beer judges from the Beer Judge Certification Program, and other qualified judges. "

I was counting myself out, but I have a belgian blond, an American Brown, and a my maibock lager just carbed up nicely, so I will probably sub that too. I was thinking about backing out the blond, because I am judging in this too, which means I cant judge that category, and I love belgians, so I am tossed up between entering a good beer, and tasting good beers. Hopefully I can get into the pale ale and IPA cats to sample. Trying to stay away from rauchbier, there is only so much beef jerky you can drink!
