Who's Brewing This Weekend?!?!

Hello Brew Friends

It's only Wednesday, but who's getting excited to brew this weekend?  I know I am!

I have a Oatmeal Stout that will be ready to bottle this weekend and I want to start a new brew before I get ready for vacation.  I'm thinking i want to go with a Belgian White Ale style, spring time is near and it would be perfect.

Ideally, I need to brew a beer that would go well with my schedule, 5-6 days in the primary and than two weeks+ in a secondary.  That way by the time im back from vacation, I will be ready to bottle again and enjoy my Stout!

Any thoughts or recipes would be much appreciated.

Got an American Amber, not sure what I'm gonna name it, boiling in the pot as we speak.

Work at home, couldn't wait.  wink

I might brew up an American Pale on Saturday.  I've got a pound of Cascades I need to bust open and start using.

I just bottled a peach wheat ale last night. I am leaning towards making the sweet stout I have made using extract but make it al lgrain this time, a 3 gallon batch. I have an pub bitter I will either secondary or bottle this weekend depending on the gravity reading.
I'll be making a pommigranite/blueberry wine this weekend if I don't get to it before then.

Being back to work has given me a crazy schedule, so I missed last weeks brew session- I am F-in jonesing to brew!!! Sat night will be the night, getting down on a 12 gallon batch of American Brown, a DFH IBA derivative. Cant wait.

Having finally just made it back from Minnesota, I am brewing Sunday - can't wait!

I'll finally be bottling my belgian dubbel (Resolution Ale).  Yes, brewed all the way back on New Year's day.

Strong Scotch Ale on Saturday for a Celtic party in June.  Going to use my new gadgets for the first time too.  Got me a pump (uh huh oh yeah) a Therminator plate chiller (booyeah no more 45-90 min wort chill sessions) and I'm going to use my immersion as a heat exchanger in my HLT and turn my system into a psuedo HERMS.  Sorry just a bit excited.  Hopefully my QD's come soon or it may be a pain in the ass.

This weekend I'm only transferring a scottish ale from primary to secondary.  Just not involved enough for my taste and I'm already getting the shakes!  I need more carboys so I can have more beers going at once me-thinks.  Though the following weekend I get to cook up a Summer Pilsner (ale style).  Wife probably wants a weekend without me stinking up the house though so this may be good...

Adding a small amount of yeast to each bottle of the flat blonde(hope that works), bottling my ESB, can't wait untill I start kegging and I will finish off with brewing a Cream Ale.Brewchez what hops are you switching to on your Cream Ale? I want smooth drinking and little bitterness for my after running club events.

My Cream ale is all Liberty hops.  This makes for a smooth bitterness and flavor.

Brewing a version of Dr. Bock this week-end. LHBS didn't have the exact ingredients so I'm winging it with subs.  Found a cool corner in my basement for lagering and I'm excited. This is my first from recipe brew. All the others were kits. Wish me luck.  Have a wheat, porter ready and enjoying, Red ale conditioning. Need a good nut brown recipe. Have Joy of Homebrewing so I my look for one there too. Wife is working this weekend so I have the house to myself.

Ya might head over to Beer Tools' recipe library & plug "Nut Brown" into the Contains Text box.  There's a bunch of them.

Will do Brewski, Thanks.  Have to wait til I get home,  work computer has fire walls for alcohol related sites. I'm surprised I can access this one ..
