Found Nice Barrels on Ebay
Hey everyone, I saw these wooden barrels on ebay today and it looked like a decent deal...

The price is cheap but too bad the shipping isn't. The seller doesn't list what oak he uses though. I haven't heard much about these barrels... I wonder if they're actually good deals or a "you get what you pay for" kind of thing.
Oh and I noticed that the inside of the barrels are (medium) charred and not toasted. The only thing I know that goes into a freshly charred barrel is bourbon. Anyone know is any brewers/breweries are putting beer in unused charred barrels?
Edit: just clicked a link on that page and the seller says he uses these barrels for run and tequila.
well shipping from Mexico is going to be expensive. I guess the only real way to know how good the barrels are would be to buy one, though.
