Aerate



Aerate:  In brewing practice, to forcibly introduce air or pure oxygen into the wort to facilitate yeast growth. (taken from "The Brewmaster's Bible" by Stephen Snyder)



 

We also aerate wine when we decant, and we can use "aerators" to speed up the process.

I have one I use with a carafe.
