Red Eye
A Red Eye is a beer with approximately an ounce of tomato juice poured into the glass with the beer.
Is that the same as Red Beer, something that's apparently popular in Nebraska?
I thought a redeye was 2 parts beer (usually BMC) to 1 part tomato juice with an egg cracked into it. It's in the movie Cocktail.
Isn't the shot method (1 oz) a Red Rooster?
Don't you put the tomatoe juice into a shot glass and then drop the shot glass down into a glass of beer?
I have no idea anymore. I think "RedEye" became the common term for any beer with tomato juice in it, bu tI'm pretty sure it's also got a raw egg. Hence Red Eye. Hence gross.
