Best Wine Ever Tasted...

I have tasted several kinds of wine but my tastebud stick on the Franzia wine.  I do really love its raisins flavored taste.  Everytime we have it opened I just keep on drinking and not knowing that I am already drunk.  My sign to stop my limits....
What about you guys, what is your "best wine ever tasted"? Is it a commercially made or just your own made wine.

Wow...good question.  I had a Pinot Noir this weekend which blew my socks off, but I can't for the life of me remember who it was.

I tend to like Black Opal's blends of red wines (their Chianti/Cab is fantastic)...

2 Buck Chuck.  At least the price is right.  (I'm not much of a wine connoisseur)

This is a big open ended question.  There are so many good wines out there.  I can probably narrow it down to about 3.  Probably my favorite wine has been a Ridge Monte Bello.  The Gaja Barolo is very good as well.  My third is the Rosenblum Maggie's Reserve.

I've never had a wine that I enjoyed, ever.  To be honest I dont drink wine very often, but I just don't have a taste for it.

I've never tasted Ridge Monte Bello yet. My friend also suggested me to try that wine because of it's different taste.  Okay I have to look for it later.  Sound interesting!

I highly recommend the Ridge.  It should age very well, although, as with all wines some years are better than others.

Ridge Monte Bello is the best of all the rest. I've tasted it. This wine really smells good. Try it!

My favorite red is Bogle Petit Sirah. A very good red.

My favorite white is Naia (Spain) -- a good fruity wine, great chilled on summer decks smile It has a distinctive label -- an orange swirly pattern with "naia" in lowercase

Another white that I discovered is a really good Greek Riesling -- I can't remember the name, but the bottle was distinctive. I think it was dark blue and had two handles at the top like a Greek urn. I haven't seen it in a while, though, so it might not be made anymore. Too bad, though -- I won prizes at wine tasting parties for that one, twice!

A very good rose is Les Jamelles - Cinsault - Vin de Pays - Produce of France. Perfect chilled. Fruity, crisp; pretty bottle, too.

And they are all relatively inexpensive.

Best wine I ever tasted was an apple blueberry wine at a winery near alexandria minnesota. Excellent wine. I never really drank much wine but that wine got me interested. Started making my own after that and 2nd favorite was an elderberry-grape wine I made from elderberries and grapes from my property.

Not technically wine but Nectar of the Hops by Red Stone Meadery is very good.

Cafe Zinfandel
easy drinking wine.

Rosemount Estates Shiraz is a really good Shiraz.  It has a nice full body with dark plum, currants and a light peppery character.  Very good for a good price.  Australian wines seem to be the best banf for the buck these days in my opinion.

Every time I try using wine yeast it does nothing. I use to judst sprinkle it on top of the juice in the fermentor. It never worked. Always gave it two days and nothing. ended up adding bread yeast and it came out jusy fine. I just started an elderberry wine using elderberry extract in a can. I did everything it said. even waited 24 hours after adding campden tablets vefore adding yeast. I poured the yeast into 2 oz of warm almost just room temp water. waited 15 minutes and stirred then poured it into the fermentor. That was yesterday. looked when I got home from work. NOTHING! Giving it one more day nad if it still hasn't started I'm throwing in some good ol fashioned bread yeast. They should make it easier and just make wine yeast in smak paks aso we don't have to go through this BS.
