Does wine good/bad for the heart?

The asperin needs to be a coated asprin such as Ecotrin (sp). Some folks take an 81 mg tablet while others are having to take a 325mg. The 81mg is for folks who may be in a risk of heart trouble while the higher dose is folks like myself who have already had problems.
The aperin that is prohibited is the UNCOATED version that may cause severe problems to the stomach lining and has been known to cause stomach ulcers and such. My cardiologist said a glass of red wine at meals is benifical for the heart in a preventavie measure but not to start AFTER heart problems are already there. It does held keep plaque deposits from clogging the arteries but after the vessels are already weakened it is not a good idea to start drinking to solve this. HTH

But why is it prohibited already? When I was a kid I still remember that when we have a fever my mother let us to take aspirin tablet.  But now it was already faced out because according to physician it was already prohibited.  Does anyone here have an idea?

Asprin causes Reye's syndrome in children, which can be fatal.  That is why we are told not to give it to children.
