Does wine good/bad for the heart?

Before I am into wine, at home my uncle let us drink wine before meals.  But now I started to refused it because of my heart failure.  I am afraid bad consequences of being wine dependent knowing that I have heart failure.  Does anybody knows if wine is good/bad for the heart? I really need your ideas...

In moderation, wine may be beneficial for decreasing your risk of heart attack.  BUT alcohol taken in volume in some people may actually cause heart failure due to damage to the heart muscle.  In some one like you, you should talk to your Physician to see if it would be harmful to you but in your case is unlikely to be helpful.

I guess it's fine to drink wine but you must minimize the amount of it. If you have a heart failure, don't be hesitate to consult your physician because he knows what's best for you.

I have a monthly check up with my doctor but don't have any idea to consult it to her.  Thanks everyone for reminding me.

I have heard that the phytophenols are simialr to some of the cardiac drugs that dont allow plaque to build up and do somehtingw ith teh free radicals.

they say that a single 5 ounce glass of red wine is good for you. just liek an 85 miligram aspririn is suposed to be good for you and eating your veggies........

I take an aspririn or two a day.. but I dont drink wine...............

Aspirin?  I heard before that aspirin is already prohibited?  Why?  Any idea?

I haven't heard about taking an aspirin. Is it recommended by the physician?

I've also heard that a glass or two of wine a day can be good for you in general, but of course check with your doctor if you have a known heart condition.

As for the aspirin, I believe that some people take one a day to prevent strokes. I think it tends to thin the blood.

But why is it prohibited already? When I was a kid I still remember that when we have a fever my mother let us to take aspirin tablet.  But now it was already faced out because according to physician it was already prohibited.  Does anyone here have an idea?

I think only physician knows about it. If aspirin was prohibited, simply because of the side effects in taking it. For sure there's a replacement of aspirin nowadays.
