Grape leftovers
I don't know if this is a taboo winemaking subject, but I know that it's possible to distill your own grappa from the grape leftovers when pressing for winemaking. Anyone ever do this? Is it legal?
Actually, I have a cousin that makes his own wine and came to a holiday family party last year with a bottle he claims he made himself. I've been making wine from kits for a few years now and I'd like to get into pressing my own grapes... I think it would be cool to make grappa from what's left over. Any insight?
