Proof
Proof refers to the level of alcohol. When you buy an alholic drink, does proof matters to you?
High proof of alholic drink gives me headache after drinking. How about you?
I've vacationed in the Dominican Republic and tried 100 proof rum. I think that was the number or possibly it was 80 proof.
I discovered that I prefer the usual 40 % rum that I'm used to. I like the flavour better and its effects are more predictable in my experience.

That can probably be directly related to the proof and amount of alcohol you are drinking. Alcohol is a diuretic, so the same amount of a higher proof alcohol will dehydrate you more than a lower proof alcohol. That's why usually the higher the proof, the smaller the glass it's served in.
If in reference to beer, if it's fermented at too high a temperature you can produce a type of alcohol that is more likely to give you a headache.

I agree of what you've said dmofot. When there was a celebration at home, I was totally drunk in a 3 shots of wine. I didn't noticed the level of alcohol. I filled my glass with wine without knowing I was knocked down.

Plus, you get messed up faster. Along with all that science stuff DM said.
You got it right cmanley542. I wa totally messed up and that's a good lesson for me. And now before I drink, I used to see the alcohol level. I become a laughing stuff of my colleagues.
