Something resembling

I am not too keen about buying a case of wine bottles for my first batch of wine because its a total experiment at the moment, so I would rather not spend bank on something that could end up tasting like prison wine. Does anyone have any experience or advice on something resembling wine in a box, like plastic packets with screw tops; it occurred to me that it might be an interesting option.

Thanks
Desmond

It isn't plain "dumb" to buy the "trash can" as you call it. First of all they come with the Mylar bags so you actually get a trashcan and bags for $18 and finally the 3 bags cost around $9. The trash can allows for easy dispensing, sure you could go buy a small trash can and cut a hole in it but trash cans usually run at least 5 or 6 bucks, this would at least look nice and work properly and fit in the fridge for sure.

This still might be overkill, I am of the ask for free bottles side and that is definitely cheap and easy.
Thanks
Elliot

I use the bags too and love them. I made a holder of sorts out of a 2 L lexan container cut a whole in the side and fashioned a "C-Clip" out of lexan. This C-Clip holds on to the spigot on the out side of the container to ensure that the spigot does not fall/go back into the container.
Thanks
Gary
