The wine was excellent
Has anyone here ever had Alexander Keith's IPA from Canada? I took a trip with some friends in the southern part of Ontario for a week a few years back and while doing some partying I bought Alexander Keith's IPA because it was really quite cheap compared to the American swill they were purchasing for the higher alcohol content in Canada. The beer was excellent, and its not distributed in the US. Anyone ever see in the border areas? Very good beer at a low cost in Canada. Wish I could get some... might have to pull some strings to get some too now that I think about it.
Thanks
Lukas
It's available everywhere in Eastern Canada, and you're welcome to my share. It used to be a distinctive, close to authentic IPA. The megaswillers got hold of it and turned it into just another labattsmolsonbudmillercoors.
BTW- Canadian beer does not have a higher alc% than an average American beer. Yours is/was measured in alc% by weight, and the rest of the world measures it by volume. If compared on the same scale, the beers all come out at about 5% by volume.
Thanks
Kai
I almost hate to ask, but does anyone know of a clone recipe of Kieth's.
My neighbor loves Kieths and wants to trade me some very very fine scotch in exchange for a 5 gallons of Kieth's clone. Can't find a recipe anywhere.
He collects scotch and must have 50 bottles all in the $100 mark.
Thanks
Kaiden
